International Conference: June 18-19
On the 19th of June, the International Conference „What can we learn by comparing U.S. and EU university education?” has been successfully concluded. More than 120 guests and participants gathered at the Hyatt Regency Warsaw, where the event was organized.
The theme of the conference – comparing American and Euroepan university systems to enumerate and analyze the causes of a relatively poor performance or weak competitiveness of the European tertiary system, as well as to asses efforts like the Bologna process and HE reform undertaken in Poland from the point of view of whether they are sufficient to close or at least to narrow the gap with the U.S. university system.
The conference was held under the patronage of the European Parliament and the Polish Ministry of Finance.
More than 40 experts in the fields of education and economics presented their papers throughout the course of 6 Discussion Panels. The top presentations will be published in English and Polish by a renowned International and Polish scientific publisher.
The conference was regarded as being a high quality academic event, with good organization and will be followed by another conference within two years, which will continue the discussion about higher education.
